I have decided to give up what social life I had this month and use my spare time to enter this years Tigerprint competition for graduates.  I will be producing a series of illustrations based on various themes.  Apologies to my friends but I won't be in the pub for 4 weeks!

My latest editorial piece.  This was produced for Six3Nine for a feature on the myths surrounding women and weight training.  And yes... I did hand draw the medical chart!  I learnt a lot about muscle anatomy working on this one :)

April update

Well april has been an interesting month so far.  I've had some great feedback about the launch of my new site (especially from ipad and iphone users who couldn't access the old flash site) and already have some new commisions to work on.  And here is a sneak preview of one of them!  I can't reveal the client at the moment as the commision ties in with a major London launch for a fitness company.  This is the first of a series of images for their website.  The theme for this one is protein.  I'll update once they are live!

New website!...... again!!!

Right, really wasn't happy with my old site visually... and also had far too much older work on it that didn't really fit my current style.  So I've updated again!  Not a huge amount of work on there as I'm on a clean slate but it will flesh out as I expand my new portfolio.

Letter to the Editor

Right... here's something I've been working on for a while now and am pretty chuffed with the results.  I reeeeeeeeeeeaaaally want to get into editorial illustration.  It suits me down to the ground, fast turnover of artwork, different subject every time, telling a story with each picture.... that's pure illustration as far as I'm concerned!

Here are six new images from my new editorial portfolio... I hope to add another 4-6 before I begin pitching.

Drawing stuff that looks like stuff!

I'm often asked by people if I "can do proper drawing... you know, stuff that looks real."... so here it is!  a Commision for the Dumnonni Chronicles Roleplaying Group www.dumnonni.com to produce and illustrate their new rulebook.... all illustration and design work by me.

Catching up!

OK!  It's been a while since I updated the blog.  But that doesn't mean I haven't been busy!  So lets start filling in the blanks and covering some of my work since last Autumn.....

Catching up part one - ABC Book!

This was a self directed project as a portfolio piece aimed towards preschool publishers.  It's exactly what it looks like... an ABC book for young readers.  This is the first of my steps away from my comfort zone and represents a marked departure from my usual style....
